Message from Sheriff McKee:
I became Sheriff of Delta County in January of 2003 and was re-elected to a second term in 2007. I have over thirty years of law enforcement experience, having served in every facet of a County Sheriff’s Office. The Delta County Sheriff’s Office is responsible for law enforcement services for the unincorporated portion of Delta County’s 1,141 square miles and serves a population base of over 28,000. The Office employs 45 sworn deputies working patrol, investigations, detention, and Court Security, as well as an additional 16 personnel that perform other functions.

The Sheriff’s Office consists of several departments including a full service detention facility, county wide emergency dispatch, civil process service, and a county victim services program. The Delta County Emergency Preparedness Manager also works out of the office.
Through the dedicated people in these different departments within the Sheriff’s Office, we strive to SERVE AND PROTECT the citizens in, and visitors to, our county.
