The Board of County Commissioners of Delta County, Colorado, is soliciting competitive sealed bid proposals from licensed General Contractors for phase 1 of the Delta County Courthouse Renovation and Addition Project, located at 501 Palmer Street, Delta, CO.  The project consists of, among other things, the construction/renovation of an additional Courtroom to be located where Room # 234 in the Courthouse is currently located.  The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to provide information to prospective vendors (hereinafter referred to as a “Vendor” or “Respondent”) for the submission of sealed bids to be considered by Delta County (hereinafter referred to as “County”).  Bid specifications and County Bid forms may be obtained through this website (see link(s) below). 

Bids must be submitted on County forms with any additional information attached.  All bids shall be marked “PHASE 1 COURTHOUSE ADDITION/RENOVATION PROJECT" on the face of the envelope and hand-delivered or mailed to the Delta County Attorney’s Office, 540 Columbia Street, Suite A, Delta, Colorado 81416, no later than February 5, 2021, at 1:30 P.M.  Bids received after this time SHALL NOT BE ACCEPTED.  Bids will be publicly opened on February 5, 2021, at 2:00 P.M.  Delta County Courthouse, 501 Palmer St., Room 234, Delta, Colorado.  Bids will be presented to the Delta County Board of County Commissioners for consideration at a regularly scheduled Commissioners Meeting.  

A MANDATORY pre-bid conference will be held on Friday, January 22, 2021, at 2:00 P.M.  The pre-bid conference will be held at the Delta County Courthouse, located at 501 Palmer Street, Delta, CO, Room #234.  Precautions will be taken concerning COVID-19.  Bidders shall meet in the courthouse, room #234, and maintain distance between individuals as recommended by state and local health authorities.  Bidders shall bring face masks and any other personal protective equipment desired.  Bidders may tour the building in small groups after the pre-bid meeting.  Bidders must participate and record their presence at the pre-bid conference to be allowed to submit a bid proposal.  

The County reserves the right to reject any bids; to change, add, or amend the specifications; to waive any informality; to accept the proposal which, in its judgment, best serves the interest of the County.
